If heat-sensitive components are maintained in areas which are impinged on by radiant heat, these can be shielded.
Often, hydraulic hoses are to be protected against exhaust pipes from diesel engines. There are several types of rectangular standard shielding available which are attached as sleeves to the respective positions of the hydraulic pipes with metal clamping devices.
Rectangular blanks with various linear and width dimensions are used for different locations wound lengthwise and laterally.
Specifically adapted insulations have also been developed which protect entire groups of hydraulic hoses against radiant heat.
In doing so, metallic pushbuttons are also applied to facilitate assembly.
Glass fibre needled mats, both sides covered with aluminium coated glass fabrics, are used as heat-resistant material. The cutting edges of the elements are stitched down with straight bindings made of the same material using Kevlar sewing thread.
*Heat protection for the prevention of heat emission*
Action has also been taken to insulate the heat source. In the process, the thermal strains for the material are of course higher. We take this circumstance into account with the selection of a woven glass fabric with a particular structure on the interior surface of the insulation and the elimination of the aluminium coating on the exterior fabric. The cutting edges for these elements are also bordered with glass fabric ribbon and Kevlar sewing thread.
We are more than happy to assist our customers with suggestions and test elements in the development of custom-made heat protection elements.
